#1. Why? #2. Why? #3. WHY? I read the books growing up and was CRAZY excited for this series. I couldn’t make it past 15 minutes into the first episode. It is SO insanely rushed, it almost seems like they were treating it like a live play trying to fit a bunch in but skimming over the heavy important things. I won’t say I was happy with the casting. It was more than disappointing. (Casting not acting let’s be clear) I really would like to know Disneys decision in the casting? I’m a huge supporter of color blind casting but only in specific things. This is a POPULAR book, you should stick with the descriptions of the characters from the book. I feel like Disney was really trying to fit in with the world on this one and have diversity. There’s nothing wrong with that, diversity is great. But no one’s gonna be upset if you stick with the original characters in fact it’s what a LARGE majority of we the audience wanted and did not get. Overall very disappointed in the show, maybe I’ll try and finish it but my impression upon what I’ve seen is just…whyyyyyy?
