Lifelong horror fan so shocked to see so many good reviews of this movie, I had to leave one of my own. Don't be fooled. It's... not great. Cobweb starts as supernatural horror, only to become... trauma horror... then monster horror? The parents' anti-Halloween stance and isolationism doesn't make sense given what they know. Their dogged disbelief of their son's night terrors doesn't make sense given their secret. Teenaged bullies breaking, entering and violently destroying property over a 4th grade beef doesn't make sense. The first half of the movie is compelling... the second half never delivers on a single one of the first half's horrific plot points. Great casting and performances though?
