What a great show. Frank Castle is one vicious dude and they nailed it. Jon Bernthal IS the Punisher. The story line is very good withe backstory being close enough to satisfy my sick need for things to follow the comic origins. Season 1 had a a few slow moments, but no more than necessary. These things are part of the story being told. You can’t have raging violence due to wronged and angry characters without showing the serene happy things that were lost and hence created this beast. I had always maintained that even though the movie with Dolph Lundgren dragged on, he made the best Punisher. I now recant that statement with extreme prejudice and truly believe that there will never be another person that can play Frank Castle. They can reboot the series with a female or some other random guy, but they need to give him a new name. Like I said Jon Bernthai IS FRANK CASTLE, THE PUNISHER. Seoson 1 was good but what made it for me was Episode 1 Season 2, the bathroom fight scene. You know when you see something and your just like “oooohhhh. Dddaaaammmm”. That scene showed the world that this series , the writing, choreography, filming, the cast and this Frank Castle are the best version and I believe ever will be. The sad part is there are only 2 seasons and it’s unknown if Disney will continue with the show and if so this cast and crew. I hope so. So, here’s to the Punisher, and thank you Jon Bernthal for bringing the real Frank Castle to the screen.
