Funny it seems critics love this and the regular audience doesn’t. I wanted to like it but it was a bit over the top. An armed guard in the retirement home shooting first and taking names later? She tases a guy and he passes out? Stun guns a guy and he passes out? Those devices cause your muscles to lock not put you to sleep. I know it’s Hollywood but it rips me from the movie. The ending seemed to try to at least have you SOME faith in humanity through karma but the payoff didn’t make the juice worth the squeeze. Great performances though.

What the hell did I just watch?!! I get the whole artsy angle of using your imagination but this takes it to a whole new level! Absolutely none of your questions you may have will be answered and the ending was just as confusing as the movie itself. You will spend your time more wisely staring at a wall rather than looking at this!

I can’t classify this as a horror movie. Thriller would best describe it. I think this is best for teens as it’s not in the same ball park as insidious or the like. It’s much more toned down. I could see this as an extra long episode of “tales from the crypt” and it would be a good episode. Fine acting job by all but story lacked in scares.

This far exceeded my expectations. Out of all of the evil dead movies the way the words are brought in from the book was the creepiest/best in this version. A bit predictable being I guessed correctly who would make it out but so what? I’m guessing the bad reviews are coming from the nostalgia many of the lovers of the original have. I hear you all but give the devil his due. One last thing. I HATE the “girl boss” type of deal but this movie can’t be put into that category. There’s a female character baptized in blood and damn sure earns her spot as a badass unlike the other movies where they were just born perfect. No one in this movie come across as perfect. All have faults and this is yet another refreshing thing I liked about it.
