I truly enjoyed the show. I think the choice to make Shaun a girl is a refreshing change to the rather sexist ideas about female characters in previous versions. My main issue is that in the first episode the response to Seiya, a prepubescent child at the time, arriving at Sanctuary uninvited, is to order two guards to kill him. The fact that this is never discussed disturbs me. Are people really that okay with child murder?
