I am an avid lover of Mario sport titles! That’s the end of my positivity in this review. People have been begging for Mario baseball and Mario soccer and instead Nintendo provided Tennis and Golf. Ok, cool. Make them the best golf and tennis titles you’ve ever made. Neither game lives up to their previous titles. I’ll go from most annoying to least annoying... MOST ANNOYING: The allure of Mario sports is its quirks and special skills of each player. Waluigi slice, bowsers fire power, daisy balanced in all things, this golf title has none of it!!! No special shots. Aim at the hole. No strategy. No shot variation for hitting it high or low. No difference in players other than distance they hit the ball. Boring courses. This new infusion of Mario track and Mario kart still serves no entertainment value or purpose. Adventure mode is tornado launching and holes in any random order. This is a 60 dollar game. Not some 10 dollar bin value purchase. I expect luigis mansion 3 and odyssey type detail, thought, and innovation and I got a dumbed down, basic control, 6 course, step backwards for the franchise. Mario sports has flopped ever since it put out Mario sports mix. They made the games too easy, the story lines too dull, and the innovation and entertainment value flopped. EPIC: Soccer (cube), Strikers (wii), baseball(cube), baseball (wii), golf (cube), GREAT: tennis (wii) FLOPS: all switch sports... wii 2... Go back to what made you great. Find those programmers and developers. GameCube was an epic system with great games... 3 systems later and people are still forced to play GameCube ... and not for nostalgic reasons. Shame Nintendo... shame
