The story acting and message is far better than the movie looks. Underneath the high-school musical astetic is a unique and pretty deep story (for Disney anyway). The overall message of the three movies is "regardless of your upbringing or where you start in life you are ultimately the one who decides what course your life takes". The music is catchy, you'll get it stuck in your head. Clearly written produced and directed by people who are used to Broadway style productions. It looks like a stage production that they are filming.
