Just watching it for one reason—Mohanlal—even though he let me down.
The movie felt like a chaotic mix of:
The filmmakers’ frustration with a particular community and political party
A bunch of conspiracy-theory nonsense
Disconnected events stitched together without any coherence
Some failed attempts at glorifying two political parties and a powerful community
I get that it’s not a documentary, but the storyline is unbearably awkward.
Performance:
Manju Warrier – Cringeworthy; she’s not the Manju we once knew.
Lal – A motionless puppet.
Tovino – Deserves much better films but somehow got trapped in this mess.
Actor who played Bajrangi – A great actor who needs better roles.
The old lady in the beginning, Zayed’s father, Munna – Painfully unnatural performances.
Baiju – Maybe the filmmakers expected audiences to show up just for him, though his screen time is minimal.
