Mcnew Life

I love Jordan Peele's work, both comedies and social thrillers, but I was disappointed with this movie. My son and I were saying as we left that it seems the better the trailer, the worse the movie. I really really wanted to like it. It wasn't scary/had poor timing, had a muddled message and seemed like discount special effects. We felt the message was who ever documents history steers the narrative, one of the messages of which there seemed many. The analogies between the alien species and the simian species in response to stimuli seemed to backfire. I hope Mr Peele learns from this and comes back next time with a much more resolved storyline.
