A post modern Hollywood nightmare that metaphorically uses the Tarot to guide the story and possibly escape the nightmare itself. Mans search for meaning right where it is always distorted to the Nth degree. I just wonder how much acting there was vs stars just playing themselves in their usual roles. Either way I loved how it unfolded and never left the dreamscape. I don't own many movies but I plan to buy this one so I can peel back some of the metaphor and meaning.

I mean, I was 17 when it came out. Really hard to separate the full blown wildness of the movie with being 17...which is why it was AWESOME!!!!

The night before I watched the 1984 movie "Night of the Comet" for the 100th time before realizing I was going to watch Greenland a day later. I have to say I enjoyed Night of the Comet much more even after all those views. Could be I like the 80's flare for kitsch vs modern high budget and sterile. The story is standard to boot. Could be if I had seen it during the start of the pandemic it might have been better as I would have been on the edge of my seat. But as it is real life was enough nail biting for me and this was more like comedy relief. Having said that I didn't have to "walk out". I did finish it and felt like I at least saw something new with big stars....and didn't spend a ton at a theater.
