This is a sequel that nobody needed. Also, it's so problematic to justify male violence just because a girl chose her friend over a boy she barely knew... yikes.
I liked the first book, but this second book made me quit reading the series. I don't see why Agatha HAS to choose between her friend and a boy ... at 12-13 years old. Girls and boys don't have to choose partners/relationships over friendships. Even as a grown-up, I prioritize time with my friends, as well as time with my partner. Boys would be in a much better place if they did the same.
