Fantastic show. The revolving plot line with its well-paced and executed crisis/resolve structure is surprisingly durable episode to episode. The rise of a strong Latina character is at times thrilling and harrowing at others. It has all the typically shopworn tropes of the drug-lord serial drama, but in this well-crafted narrative with all it's sharp production and storytelling, the familiar muscle movements pack a dramatic punch. I was knocked out from episode 1.
