Huge fan of the book series. It inspired me to write my first fanfic in 2011. The movie was a huge disappointment, but at least it kinda stuck to the books. As a fairly objective person, I respect there are creative liberties when translating books to the screen, but this is so far off from the books. It combines aspects from books 1 and 2, but it changes so much that that hardly matters. I bumped this to 2 stars because I think if you haven't read the books/are a fan of the series, you'll really enjoy this. I'm honestly sad that I saw Lauren Kate excited about this series coming out a couple of years ago. I thought they were going to get it right, that they had time in a series to get the details correct, but they decided to make up an alternate story using the character names from the Fallen series. Waiting for someone to step up and get this incredible, compelling series correct.
