The show wasn’t nearly as good as the movies. It’s a decent plot and the actors did a terrific job with what they were given. Here are my complaints: 1. Overly dramatic - many scenes are too dramatic with slow motion, long shots, and heavy music. I found this style to be distracting from the main story so it took way too long to get through it all. 2. The sidekick character lacks depth. He shows little to no emotion or engagement in the present. The character in the movie had depth and emotion so it was easier to see the ‘buddy relationship’ develop between the two main characters. 3. Goode’s character is too active of a ‘dick’. The movie character is more aloof to show his arrogance rather than being directly confrontational with everyone as was the case for the first 2-3 episodes. By the end, he was a completely changed man despite not going through any real attitude-changing events.
