S P O I L E R S A H E A D: The Leaving. I was super excited for this book, the synopsis made it super enticing! It was extremely addicting, and the writing style was very interesting. What I liked: The mystery was super addicting, I kept wanting to read more and more without stopping, only stopping for 15 minute breaks at a time. I liked the different POVs. Scarlett and Lucas’ POVs were very interesting. What I didn’t like: The ending was super unsatisfying. They didn’t catch the culprit and it just left me saying “Seriously? That’s it?”. The love triangle was unnecessary, it was between the three main characters Scarlett, Lucas, and Avery. If the love triangle was absolutely necessary, it would’ve been better with Scarlett and Lucas ending up together, Avery and Lucas was super disappointing... Also, I felt like Avery’s POV was annoying and not needed at all, I guess I really didn’t like Avery so much as a character. I give this 3 stars because while I didn’t like the ending or the love triangle, the mystery was super enticing. While I didn’t like the ending, I would still definitely read this.
