Outstanding read. If you loved The Martian you will love The Last Astronaut. The characters are well-developed and the dialogue surefooted. The science behind the action is well thought out. I enjoyed reading this book and was held in suspense through out.

"B" level thriller plot with 2 smart twists. Acting is OK. Stunts are SPECTACULAR. Too bad they couldn't break through the predictable tropes and become a dialog/acting/stunt classic. This series has been uneven with the first having an incredible original Ludlum-esque plot and dialog. The 3rd had another great plot. The rest not so much.
