Excellent film. Mike Myers is hilarious as always. The jokes are brilliant. I enjoy this film as do my children of various ages. We do know the DR SEUS literature actually so some negative reviews I have read must be from people with 0 sense of humour at all or just don’t get it. Not only do they clearly fail to get the humour but fail to understand the way in which all good children’s films are made purposely to appeal to audiences of all ages. It’s great to sit and watch a movie with your kids, it’s a nice way to spend time with them but if it was just aimed at the children who read the books, it would be incredibly boring for their parents and their older siblings. I think that this film also rekindles any nostalgia from childhood in regards to reading the Dr Seus literature. Alec Baldwin played a brilliant part as Larry. All characters were fantastically played by the actors who played them. I really do not get the bad reviews at all. What did people actually expect? A boring, long winded exact enactment of the book? I’d have turned it off in one second flat. It’s done in the exact same style as Shrek and The Grinch. Extremely enjoyable films to watch with your kids so what’s the problem? I love it anyway.
