Snowpiercer wants to leave you thinking about the world. It tries so hard and to me falls short. I couldn’t stand to watch through all this gore, movies full of gore usually give you a message and leave you crying, this movie left me plain confused. They try to make Crutis heartfelt and inspiring, but it’s so hard to feel for him. Altogether the movie tries to leave you with the message that even the best of people will go crazy and do the most horrible things. The movie really could have been great if it wasn’t trying to “capture” your eye so much with some plain ridiculous costumes to blood and gore taking up most of the film. None of the characters have clear personalities, therefore it’s hard to understand where they are coming from. I would also like to highlight some great parts about this film, the scenes where they are switching train cars is a masterpiece. Also, the scene where they go outside was beautiful and heartfelt. I don’t think you should watch this movie it’s pretty forgettable and want leave and impact on how you see the world like a great film.
