This movie was about looking past political differences between people to see our collective humanity, overcoming fear of ‘the other’ in order to help your neighbours, and how media and politics seek to sow distrust and fear through misinformation. And yet, people are so mad. By the way, I’m not American. I don’t care either way about your politics. But the message was pretty clear, just to unite despite your differences - respect and kindness should be given to everyone - hwhich seems a weird one to be against.
