I watched this film with a very minor understanding of what it was about and I have to say it exceeded what I expected of it. The fact it was stated as a horror movie confused me as I didn’t initially get that impression, but upon watching it I was corrected.
The acting of the main characters was exceptionally realistic, the scenes were extremely emotional to see as drugs progressively ruined and took over the dreams of the characters, and the unsettling music made it all the more intense.
All of that combined made for a pretty traumatising movie.
The ending left me teary-eyed and feeling a tremendous amount of sympathy for the characters but also taught me the lesson of knowing my limits and when to stop as it could lead to awful consequences and hurt the people that I love.
If ever before the thought of doing drugs has struck my mind this movie has for sure put a line through that thought. Overall, the movie was great, but I’d never watch it again for the sake of my sanity.
