The series is an easy read, sometimes a little too basic in its language and style.
However, having lived in Japan and knowing how hard Japanese people find it to express their feelings, it makes the stories better to understand.
The final chapter of the latest book, Before We Forget Kindness, is the standout and left me balling my eyes out in a cafe. If you only read that one, it’ll hopefully change your life outlook.
Most people live in their own self-absorbed minds and forget others’ feelings (literally the title of the latest book is explicit) Think about others but also seize the day!
