I'm disappointed, quite frankly. I was a HUGE fan of the book and couldn't wait for the movie to come out. As I watched it, something in me was slowly dying and by the end the movie was just kicking at my corpse. This adaptation turned the story into a lazy Hallmark-esque movie. The actors have no chemistry, the story is rushed and makes no sense because so many scenes from the book were changed or completely cut out. The chronology was also messed up and so things happen in a different order that ruins the way the story unfolds. Also main characters, such as Rafael Luna, June, and Henry's mom are cut out. Percy, Nora, Bea, and Alex's parents characters are not as fleshed out and get very little screen time. All the characters lost any flavor they had in the books. This movie is shallow, boring, and very disappointing.
