Went in as an Ella Purnell mega-fan and was ready to eat up just about any breadcrumbs tossed my way but ended up liking it for completely different reasons. Everything from concept to vibe to performance is solid. Not many shows can get me to like nearly every side character on screen and this one does it. The little office set-up was brilliant, definitely an atypical spin on the serial killer/slasher genre. Keep in mind you're supposed to feel deceived once you realize the protagonist is relatable but unhinged because guess what, THEY KILL PEOPLE and they did it in the first episode! Loved it. Hope it picks up so we'll get a second season.

overrated "copy" of the Sopranos at best. people who compare this to the greats have either never watched them in their entirety and claim they have or have not understood the gripping elements that made them what they are. one thing continuously turned me away from comic book adaptations is how convenient and unrealistically easy things are for the villain or the protagonist. or how they dumb down crimes like they're exactly how you would imagine from the target demographic for comics. so we're expected to believe a world with techs enough to build a cyborg has no RICO act for a city dominated by crime, drug trade just meant driving from point A to B with no attempt of interception from the police whatsoever. this is like when a kid tries to impersonate an adult and fails miserably. and every character in these is so obviously one-dimensional I have no idea how a grown adult could watch this and think it's supposed to be "mature" or "complex".
