I watched this Film last night; and whilst I think these ladies should be celebrated and admired for their work, the film itself was nothing short of insulting. Without giving anything away, a battalion of women were called into Europe to sort out the mail during the end of the war.
Sure it showed the blatant racism and sexism they experienced, but what it did not show was HOW they went about sorting out nearly a years worth of mail in 3 months; only snippets of techniques they used were hinted at during the process - but not how the stacks of mail were initially dealt with - was it all incoming mail or outgoing or both? Why was it in warehouses in Glasgow? So many frustrating questions ruined the film. Why were they constantly told that their process wasn't working at the beginning - when they had been given 6 months to sort it all...
So great story, really really poor movie. Sorry folks. Just my take on it. : (
