This movie came as a pleasant surprise. I watched without checking the reviews. For a low budget movie the overall outcome is simply outstanding. Gender issues are handled with care and sensitivity and there is no sermonising about it. It doesn't make a hue and cry that the main protagonist is a female and she goes about doing her job with the usual stigma of misogyny attached to it.
Overall, the technical departments are good. The direction is well handled. The saving grace of the whole movie is Ruhani Sharma whose brilliant portrayal as ACP Archana Prasad is a revelation. She's an actress to watch out for. I watched the Malayalam dubbed version since I don't follow Telugu, maybe I would have missed a nuance or two.
The premise is somewhat similar to the HIT series, which I guess has a bigger budget and a bigger star cast, but this doesn't hamper the films overall quality. Highly recommended.
