First off I've only seen first half of movie, have to watch rest later but the first half was a big disappointment. Seemed like nothing but regurgitation of original but with all actors just old and looking bad. Michael Keaton looks terrible, his makeup and outfit looks cheaply done and his voice and tone sound like he's a whino hobo now instead of the ghost with the most. Idk how they didn't see this making the film, but Keaton has no energy or passion like in original and in original it's his energy that carried the film. The animated sequence and all the Story around the dad and his death shouldn't have made the film. I assume they animated it because of the actor Jeffrey Jones and his life after Beetlejuice with his child porn conviction stuff, so I guess they figure animate it and no one will get upset but even better...just leave his character out or just mention his death. Idk, but the film was a major let down. I watched half and never laughed one time. Also the use of the song from original as the dads funeral song is just ridiculous and the score was just too much at times, yes we remember the original or we wouldn't be here, so let's move on from nostalgia and make a movie here.
