This movie is totally uplifting ! The principles of helping troubled kids, devised by Bernie Shakeshaft and put into practice in the Backtrack Program, are not only simple, but the very essence of genius.
The film should be shown to all teachers, social workers, lawyers, magistrates, judges, and workers in Juvenile Detention and anybody who forgets to look for "the gold" in young offenders .
The principles work, and it is ludicrous to have to wonder why they are not used and taught to all of the above people. It is logical to think we could save more of our young people than we do now.
Congratulations not only to Bernie and his team , but also to Catherine Scott who has done a wonderful job in bringing this story to us . As a film it has absolutely everything to keep your eyes riveted to the screen.
There is something very special about the combination of dogs and humans !
