At first going into this game I had more doubts than reliefs I was worried that tennis and badminton would feel like the same sport I am happy to say that badminton is the better version of the two because you can swing the racket in more directions, perform smash and drop shots and can never let the shuttlecock hit the ground like you can let the tennis ball bounce once before hitting it, I also notice it’s much faster pause compared to tennis. Soccer is the most in depth and my absolute favorite sport in the game, I like how Chumbera you can customize your sword option with three different types of swords being normal, charged and dual swords. Volleyball I had trouble with bumping and blocking but once I got used to it I rarely lost a match. This comes to my first issue the game has three selective difficulties for the cpus rather than having you facing tougher opponents or weaker opponents as you rank up or down. You can have a rank system when playing others online but you have to be a pro status to unlock it in my opinion there should be a ranking system for beginners as well and pro league. My second complaint is the miis they are in the game but there faces go over the sports mates bodies making them look a little wonky and they have limited customization options compared to the miis. Finally this is only a minor complaint but you can’t throw the ball behind you in bowling anymore where the miis would freakout why couldn’t they use it with the sports mates also it’s harder to add spin since you need to twist the joycon instead of it being automatic and you can’t let go of ZR like you could on the Wii with the b button. Getting back to some of the positives I love playing online with friends and globally and glad you can unlock costume outfits for your sports mates. I also like the new survival bowling mode where you get knocked out of a bowling match after three rounds of your scores to low. I am looking forward to using the leg strap in soccer this summer as well as golf coming this fall overall 3.75/5
