I also grew up in Port Clinton only ten years earlier. Most all the experiences Richard mentions, I also experienced. I thoroughly enjoyed the book, especially the chapter about the sporting goods purchase. Would highly recommend this book. I called Richard and told him how much I enjoyed it.
