Douglas Henshall was magnificent and a delight in his role. I understand why he wanted to opt out of the series. I do not understand who decided to cast Ashley Jensen as his replacement. Each episode in Season 8 is more of the same, a garbled, heavy accent. We’re not all Scots. Enunciation lessons are key.
