An absolute masterpiece.
I found the story absolutely engrossing, which had me feelingly deeply for characters and shedding tears at my particular ending.
I know it might sound like every sci fi film ever made but it is set apart by clever writing, pulling on ideas from slavery, immigration debates and modern AI theory. Acting is stellar. Graphics look like they are from the future (for me this looks better than brand new titles released on 2025 ). And the plot has huge levels of branching meaning choices are consequential. People die and don’t come back. Decisions irrevocably alter the story.
I am glad to hear Quantic sold 11 million copies of this game. I had never heard of it. But honestly I think it deserves far more acclaim and success. This is an experience that really combines great acting, great story telling, phenomenally good graphics and then uses all the strengths of interactivity to make the package more immersive than any book or movie adaptation could be. This really expands the art form.
Highly, highly recommended.
