*Choo mantar* (Kannada movie) Rating: 7 on 10 Review: Nice story & entertainer but fails to perform to its potential The movie starts off very well & the first half being intriguing; it just flies past keeping the audience entertained with comedy, suspense, questions & nice landscape pictures of Nainital (Uttarakhand) Second half suddenly gets dragged & feels like it’s directed By a different person altogether. The intensity slips, the screenplay feels redundant & the comedy feels ‘forced’ The climax could have been made more gripping & the ending song could have been avoided to make it more gripping & saved 3-4 mins. The song dilutes the climax Overall a good watch It’s anyday better than most Hindi movies that have released in the last 10-15years for thsi genre with story being the main part of the success. The movie leaves us with a nice twist giving us a potential opportunity for a cross over with an Epic Kannada franchise of thr past. BGM is a fail Graphics is top class, this really needs a mention as I felt this was way better than all the Hindi movies graphics (beats Brahmastra movie graphics too) Sharan shines Chikkanna is good Aditi had done her part judiciously Director should really capitalise the real potential of the story in the upcoming sequel && extract the best

Aindam vedam - season 1 First 3 episodes: good Last 5 episodes: below average Starts off with a very good plot & mythological quest genre Director loses to carry the momentum & dilutes the plot by introducing too many characters whose screen space is as small as a gold fish’s attention span Finally tries to weave together the concept of end of KALI YUGA & begin of new Yuga (cyborgs & AI robots etc) but fails miserably Director Naga definitely has a gripping tale in his mind but clearly fails to translate it to the fabric of a tv show Poor editing & even poorer graphics Music is a let down too I give it 6 on 10

Hilarious, laugh riot. Have patience for First 25min and later you will run out of breath laughing. Special mention to Bruno (Aju) and father 😀

_Disclaimer: this purely my opinion & I don’t intend to enforce It on / influence anyone_ Firstly, it’s a grand scale, larger than life sequel of a movie franchisee which had a promising PART 1 KGF2 comes across a high decibel-stylised-expensive Mass entertainer with Grandiose but with a weak story line as it’s undercurrent having a strong flavour of Mad max, Narcos, Vikings & Don (Hindi) Yash looks stunning in his Lead role with his Haute Couture dressing in almost every frame & sequence leaving the rest of them almost neglected. That said, most of the other characters in the movie are left virtually ‘jobless’. His styling & Presence is so much highlighted that, *his slow motion walking in retro style Suits with bell bottom pants & zippo lighter lighting his cig* makes up almost Pretty much a major portion of the 160min movie. Styling Could have been reduced Atleast during fight scenes. In total it’s a hero worship movie with exaggerated expressions by Co-actors & many dialogues being ‘force-fit’ to give him that image & hype Most of the villains ending up just being phone receivers or information passers; Getting killed in the silliest of ways (contrary to the build up). Couple of songs are absolutely out of place (mehbooba & the song whcih his mother sings while farming) Sanjay Dutt is a self styled Viking who does a decent job & Raveena manages to deliver her role well. On technical grounds - the movie fails to beat its prequel except in the BGM section whcih has stood up to its reputation, its excellent The editing is sloppy with many frames transitions being too fast or blacking out Cinematography is average The CGI of the palace which looks like KYE Monestry in LEH & the spitfire bullet scenes to the missile launched from air lack quality Overall is an average movie unable to beat the benchmark set by its predecessor My rating - 5.5/10
