I LOVE everything Marvel. However, this is the first that hasn’t sat right with me. The story line wasn’t fully teased out. Where did the first Choctaw get their powers? And if from the water, what is the origin of the water? How were the ‘first’ Choctaw designated?? I was waiting for an epiphany and there to be a reason Maya is a superhero. But that never came. All in all, I could tell this was written by a novice writer. There were too many holes in the story and an unclear identification of WHERE the powers truly originated.
