I love the book, especially the plot. There are enough hidden tunnels, concealed traps, enigmatic secrets, hair-raising surprises, quirky characters, and ethical dilemmas to keep the plot going on . Another thing I like about this book is that the characters have distinct traits: Reynie has strong problem-solving skills, and is patient and kind among people, even Constance; Sticky has a brain that can memorize everything, but he is often quiet because his intelligence has been once used by others in an evil way; Kate has strong athletic skills, and she is the humor in the group, lightening everyone's hearts, but when it comes to the protagonists, her heart is full of hate and revenge; Constance is a three year-old with an incredibly smart brain. She is stubborn, grumpy, and ignores rules, and she makes poems that insult the group members, considering it as a hobby. One last thing I like about this book is that there is a strong main message. Unlike other adventure books, apart from just the plot, there is also a theme —Cooperation leads to success. Each member of the Mysterious Benedict Society brings with them particular skills and attributes, and when they cooperate and work together, they succeed.
If you like Harry Potter, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, or Lord of the Rings, you should definitely read this well-written book. Overall, I would rate The Mysterious Benedict Society 5 stars. Get reading!
