I still cannot understand how anyone could have even imagined the beloved Archie comics in an Indian setting. Watching it was like nails on a chalk board. Mid - through the movie I started wondering if this was supposed to be a comedy. Hindi lyrics in the Rock-n-Roll genre?? Are you kidding me??
Archie is deeply rooted in the American culture, and that's what's made the comic book so charming. Seeing Indians dancing the Rock-n-Roll, and mimicking the American culture was beyond cringy.
Were voice-overs done for the actors with poor English accents? It looks like that, and that's adding to the cringe score.
The fact that the actors don't even remotely look like the comic characters, makes it hard to imagine why the writers or director wanted to force this movie into an Indian setting. The name of this movie should be changed as this doesn't resemble the comic book by any stretch of the imagination. It's a pitiful failure.
