Unfortunately a bit dull. I’m a huge fan of the books and the characters. The writing did not give the characters their space to grow, I really missed out on Joyce’s journal entries, these would have made a wonderful narration over the whole thing. Bogdan got sold a bag of goods for sure! The Father Mackey story needed playing out. A series would have made this so much more indepth. I feel there’s no space to continue the book series now. A waste of a good cast with poor writing and timid directing. It felt like a Harry Potter and definitely sounded like one.
