A family affair is a tale of self absorbsortion. The lead, Joey King, comes off as bratty and has little to no redeeming qualities throughout the movie. Zac Efron is just ok in his role and Kidman dials in her performance. The romance is weird and the movie wraps up without you caring what happens to the characters next.
