I was going into the movie to hate on it because the story didn’t look interesting and the animation was very off-putting compared to Broly. But the movie was actually great and did a good job of giving us as summary of all the elapsed time leading up to the movie.
The comedy was just right and the serious moments were just right. This movie did piccolo justice as well as Gohan. This whole movie literally made me flashback to the cell saga, just with gohan being an adult. It was also surprising seeing the kids grow up since the time of the broly movie.
