I genuinely don't see a reason not to give this 5/5. I started crying in the first five minutes and didn't stop until the last five minutes - it has the same heart as the original, with different beats, different laughs and a gently modernised, realistic take on the story of a teenage Nani trying to take care of her little sister in a way that doesn't feel forced. Pleakley (Billy Magnussen) deserves his own spin off where he goes camping or something.
Whether you loved the original or are going in blind, I think you won't be disappointed.
