I genuinely don't see a reason not to give this 5/5. I started crying in the first five minutes and didn't stop until the last five minutes - it has the same heart as the original, with different beats, different laughs and a gently modernised, realistic take on the story of a teenage Nani trying to take care of her little sister in a way that doesn't feel forced. Pleakley (Billy Magnussen) deserves his own spin off where he goes camping or something. Whether you loved the original or are going in blind, I think you won't be disappointed.

The only thing you'll be talking about on the car ride home is all the things you would have done differently.

This movie would be worth seeing if just to start a conversation with your kids/friends/self about how to manage your anxiety. On top of that, it's funny and clever.

If Brannaugh had done us the favour of changing the names as well as everything else about the story, it would have been just a mediocre movie, rather than a third insult to Christie's names and her fans.

I did not expect to like this movie as much as I did. Sweet, funny and action packed, good for a night in.
