i don't often find myself interested in this genre of television, especially not on netflix where it was a tendency to be boring and predictable and way too uncomfortable to watch considering the cast is meant to be teenagers. but this show diverted every expectations in all the best ways. not to mention, there was poc rep and disability rep to go along with the front-and-center lgbt rep, and representation is so important, and for heaven's sake, it's so refreshing to see acne on screen. it's rare to see all of this, especially with such well-written plots and without too much graphic sexual content. give us season 2!
