I would describe this film as Tarantinoesque, with influences from Breaking Bad and other groundbreaking television shows blended into one.
It makes good use of the setting of Japan, and creates some very comedic scenes.
It's definitely an art film and doesn't insult the intelligence of the spectator; it is on a level higher than most formulaic cookie cutter hollywood pulp being processed today.
In a nutshell, it's worth it, and Brad Pitt's still got it man.
