Wonderfully written, as all Wally Lamb books are. This book invoked so much emotion for the main character. Frustration for his self pity and deception with alcohol and drugs, anger for his negligence and horror for the death of Niko. However; there is a deep sorrow and empathy felt for him as he seems to pay for the tragic accident over and over until his death. It seems death was inevitable for him, as he had thought often and contemplated as well. Moving, emotional and well written!
