With a pandemic I've been forced to watch many a movie. Some good some bad some actually excellent.
I'm kind of getting overwhelmed by the amount of movies that portray "white privilege" as a picec de resistancesobto speak
I mean I would think that some of these directoris would look at these plots and say "How many times can we write movies where the plot is to save the beleaguered lovely young narcissistic crazy child and placr the blame on some POC from the other side of tracks".
The fact that the producer/director felt compy to utilize a white judge in New Orleans to haphazardly choose a 17-year-old Bkack teenager to take the fall for his son's transgressions his utterly irreprehensible. And whose idea was it to utilize his best black friend in the plota nd also think it was cool to try to bed the black prosecutor he wants to screw over on the case?
I can't imagine any parent of color siding with this movie as it is infuriating.
I feel like I was watching " The Lie" all over again with a different all white cast.
Also this is a re hash of an Indian drama by the same name.
