I really enjoyed this series for its nuanced but straightforward portrayal of a subject that I think is almost always dumbed down, especially in America, by our public figures—politicians, news commentators—and in the endless stream of internet chatter. It’s well made and obviously strives for accuracy in the very tasteful flashback/dramatic recreation segments of the show. One tiny detail (because I know the people who put this show together care about details) I noticed in “The Mockingbird”: unlike heroin, you don’t cook cocaine before you shoot it. Just sayin.
