I love a good survival horror movie,but this one didn't exactly hit the spot for me. Most of the movie felt boring and the need for a story to be told and not shown did not help. The "monster" wasn't too entertaining to watch and felt like something that wasn't original. I feel like this movie could be better if it had more time to develop a story that wasn't rushed in last minute and had an original monster or compelling villain that replaced the monster that we got. It had good gore and acting,though,so I'll give it that.

At first,it seemed like a cool movie,amazing gore,great acting,and a good story. Spoilers The plot with Riley was great,if only it had been resolved correctly. It seemed like one of the main problems in the movie,but they end the conflict by stating that he's okay,and don't show us how his conflict was resolved. The main characters practically spent the whole movie trying to help Riley,but then after a few days,his sister just calls the group and says that he is fine. I also expected to see the backstory of the hand be revealed slowly throughout the movie,that's what the directors seemed to be going for,but they decided that the main characters would be told that the hand came from someone who practiced dark magic,the main characters never bring it up again after this,as if this weren't important for the characters to know. In conclusion,I think that with more runtime,the movie would have closed off plots better,making it higher quality.
