This is a Saturday night must in our home! The blend of humor, nostalgia, behind-the-scenes facts about the feature, and of course the opportunity to revisit films remembered from childhood matinees provides the best entertainment one could want at any age.

This film is engrossing right from the beginning, quickly establishing characters, setting, and storyline, all enveloped in a mood of forboding and desperation. Eerily relatable to present day conversation and political confrontation, I would call it a cautionary tale. Like Dickens' ghost of Christmas future, it depicts things not as they will be, but as they might be if changes aren't made. Well acted, with beautiful pastoral scenic photography juxtaposed with the horrors and destruction of warfare.

This movie is entertaining if you find mysogeny and lazy script writing entertaining. Huge special effect budget, but exceedingly poor attention to details regarding costuming, continuity, and any form of logic.

A fascinating blend of satire, comedy, and serious drama. The message is made all the more important and poignant for all this, combined with superb acting. This film is sadly all the more relevant in today's disturbing political climate.
