McFadden’s ability to build tension and create a foreboding atmosphere is commendable, making this a solid thriller. However, some plot points were left unexplained, and a few key details felt underdeveloped, leaving frustrating gaps in an otherwise well-crafted story. Despite this, Never Lie is worth picking up if you’re in the mood for a quick, thrilling read and don’t mind a few loose ends. It’s not a must-read, but it’s enjoyable enough to recommend if you don’t have anything else lined up.

masterpiece of suspense and psychological thrill that kept me hooked from the very first page. This riveting story plunges the reader into the chaotic and fragmented world of Liv Reese, a character who is as compelling as she is heartbreaking. The narrative alternates between Liv’s present, where she is desperate to stay awake to piece together her life, and the past, which unravels the sinister events that led to her condition. The constant tension between what Liv remembers and what actually happened is masterfully crafted, keeping you guessing until the very end. The only annoying thing was that there were often too many characters introduced with their names in the book which were just ordinary people and had less to do with the main plot. However, its nothing compared to the thrill and suspense. A must read; highly recommended.

I love reading fast paced thrillers.. Like The Silent Patient, but this one was too slow till the first half and too confusing after that.. It starts well, and then gradually changes into chaos.. some parts of the book literally drained my mental energy because I had to focus on each and every word to understand what was going on. The ending, unfortunately, feels unsatisfying as the twists and turns don’t quite resolve the confusion built up in the second half. It's akin to watching the web series Dark—a gripping start but eventually becoming too convoluted for its own good. If you prefer thrillers that are fast, straightforward, and offer twists that make sense in retrospect, this one might not be for you.
