Humour is great and storylines gritty and heartbreaking. I also have to say that as a Liverpudlian, Martin Freeman's accent is actually very good albeit very street. I've never heard a copper speak like that. Overall very good. I do object to the scenes of mattresses and pallets and 'derelict town centre shops' it's not like that. It's a wonder there wasn't footage of the riots. Ironic the scenes in Netflix's Munich The Edge of War film was pretending to be that posh London in 1938, when it was all filmed in Liverpool Town Centre. I don't know how the ex officer writer can put his name to it. I don't think we have tenements any more either. Whatever!
