**SLIGHT SPOILER** Let me start by saying, the original Top Gun is by far my favorite movie of all time. To me, the best there is. I was EXTREMELY Nervous to say the least to see this film. Too many times, Hollywood takes a brilliant piece of work and ruins it with a sequel. I am glad to say I was wrong. This movie is absolutely brilliant. They did an incredible job paying homage to the original, while also keeping it feeling fresh and new. For me, someone who could quote the original line by line; the best part of this movie was in the details. During a flying scene with Mav & Rooster, hearing Rooster say the EXACT words to Mav that his dad did ….. that got me (literally made me cry). I feel like they made this movie totally relatable for a brand new audience while giving those of us who love the original so much an absolutely brilliant piece of work.
