Not sure whether it's Poppy Montgomery's actual personality or the writing/direction of the show, but I too am turned off by the lead character's "I'm all that" persona. I'd like to see more humility from the female lead and less humility from the ex-husband, who could be portrayed as a wisened and experienced asset instead of a drowning-his-sorrows boozer.
